We offer what we believe is the best martial art instruction in the world.  Taekwondo is an exciting and powerful martial art known for its dynamic kicking and hand techniques. Every student possesses different physical abilities.  Size and strength vary with each individual.   Our Teen & Adult program focuses more on what adults are looking for -  Fitness, Self-Defense and a fun and positive workout atmosphere.  Teens from age 13 enter this program. As a Palacios ATA Martial Arts  student, you are looked upon as an individual, never compared to anyone else.  Once you have acquired a strong foundation in the basics, our program will enhanace your physical capabilities and maximize your self defense skills.  You will understand exactly what it takes, mentally and physically, to defend yourself or your loved ones should the need ever arise.



When the speed and power developed through Taekwondo is used in a self-defense situation against the soft vulnerable parts of an attacker's body, the result can be incredible. Knowing you can defend yourself, your confidence will grow. And confidence alone is usually enough to deter potential attackers. 


We also offer specialized weapon's self defense courses throughout the year.


ATA FIT is a workout that readies your body for virtually any physical activity and can be geared toward anyone from pro athletes to the non athletes. Most other training programs work on cardiovascular endurance and/or strength but ATA FIT develops flexibility. power, speed, coordination, agility, accuracy, and balance. With regards to cardiovascular endurance the workouts alternate between short bursts of exertion and rest.

One new teaching method called "360 Training" is already being heralded for its ability to seamlessly blend fitness training into regular Taekwondo class segments. It is made up of functional movements done at high intensity. Every workout has a different set or techniques but the workout can be scaled down to meet individual needs such as lower weights, reduced reps, modified push ups and pull ups.

There are 6 parts to the "360 Training" push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, punching, kicking, and a combination of kicks and punches. When a martial artist becomes proficient in these drills, and proficient means being able to perform the drills with quality and not just quantity. The end result will be a better, faster, healthier martial artist.


This does not come naturally for many people, but self-confidence and other life skills can be developed over a period of time. Through Taekwondo, as you accomplish new goals, your confidence level increases.
